Hi Maryanne,
I live in the Bay Area am licensed and had a friend who was a trainer for a lash company do a 2 day course with me. I learned basic lashing and basic refills.
My problem is that’s all I know how to do and need a lot more experience. I want to become a f/t lash artist so bad but have very little experience. I have applied a handful set of lashes but it has come to a halt. What is my best option to get more experience with lashing? No one wants to hire a person with little experience.
Thank you,
Cocoa
Hi Cocoa,
Yes you’re right, you do need more experience. Ask your friends, family and anyone who you think likes lashes and make-up if they would like you to apply lashes on them. Maybe some salon owners you know would like them. Introduce yourself to salon owners as well and offer free lash application to the stylists at the salon. Offer to apply them for free! You need to keep at it, the experience you need is so important and don’t expect to get paid right away until you have developed some confidence. You might contact your instructor and ask her for some pointers where you find yourself unsure or lacking information.
Best of luck!
Esther

A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
