Tweezer Touble

Have you been searching for the perfect Tweezers? Throughout the years, I have looked everywhere for the perfect pair of tweezers. I have tried long tweezers, short tweezers, ribbed-handle tweezers and everything in-between. I have tried so many now that I have become a tweezer snob, well maybe not a snob but I certainly know what I like and why. My preference for picking up lashes, is the 5.5” straight tip tweezers, and that same length in the bent-tip tweezers. This size is what I trained with and have used for close to12 years and always come back to. These tweezers are just the right weight and length for my comfort zone and they feel good in my hands and I’m happy to offer some insight as why these have become my best-tweezing-friend.
STS-TWEEZERS-1 The Glad Lash 5B-SA Curved Tip Tweezer, a reliable tool and one of my favorites for many years now.
In my experience, the shorter tweezer (must be the way I hold them) often pinches my index finger. This was such a silly problem but completely annoying. So now, my short tweezers have found a home in my junk drawer. Also for me, In some cases I have had issues with color-coated tweezers. Sometimes after sanitizing them as well as the use of acetone to clean the tips, the color coating flakes off covering my fingers with color. Needless to say, they are in my junk drawer also. The Artist Directory - Join the only business directory dedicated to lash and brow artists I do like to have at least 4-5 sets of tweezers ready before I start my day. I have dropped my tweezers before and ruined them. Be careful with how you store your precious implements. Always make sure a tweezer jar is lined with cotton or a piece of sponge before dropping them in, risking damage and bending to the tips. Once they have been bent, they will find their way to the junk drawer. There is no amount of tuning your tweezers once the vulnerable tips are bent. My advice to any lash and brow artist is once you find your perfect fit, purchase several sets and stick with what works and what feels the best, feed your fingers! Tweezers are your tools for creation, care for them and they will take care of the rest.

Hi KB,

It sounds like your tweezers need to be calibrated. This means they are not coming together in the correct way, and may need an adjustment.
You may need to invest in some new tweezers until you find the ones that fit your needs. I have many, many tweezers.
Make sure you are keeping them clean and no glue residue on them. This can cause problems too.
Glad Lash has some nice tweezers. Get a few and practice with them until you are comfortable.

Best of Luck!

Trouble picking up lashes with tweezers ( eyelash extension) not the volume. Just started 2 weeks ago. It seems every time I pick them up up they fall off from tweezer ( straight tweezer). I’ve wasted more lashes need suggestion

Hi Angie,
Thats a great question about the flat tweezers. In my own personal use, they are perfect to take the lash strips out of the pallet case or for using to apply strip lashes. They have a little more surface to grasp the lash strip. Hope that helps!!

Hi
What are the middle fat flat tweezers used for? I haven’t seen that type before.
