Even though it’s not quite melting weather yet, I’d like to give you all a heads or “face” up on a couple great makeup-setting products. In days of old, ladies used to set their makeup with hairspray sprayed directly to the face!! YEP!! Can you believe it?! The alcohol content alone… I shudder to think! Thank GOD that fad is long over and this aspect of beauty has evolved into other, healthier, less sticky solutions.

Recommended Setting Sprays

To have your makeup last even longer throughout the day, night or for a special event...try one of these setting sprays! Urban Decay has a great one called All Nighter which is Vegan without parabens and is oil free. After your makeup application...just close your eyes and spritz in a 'T' and 'X' formation a couple of times and wait for it to dry and BOOOOOM! This product will see you through any ALL NIGHT wear and tear! Another great setting spray, for all skin types- including sensitive ones, is Model In a Bottle Sensitive Skin Setting Spray. It contains soothing lavender and can help with any inflammation caused from rosacea. Also, it is water resistant. WooHoo!! Love having these items in my makeup kit, especially for my brides. Happy FACE, literally! So, set your face right so it can keep up with you all day and all night!

Hi Linda‚Ķ To follow up on Heather’s comment, spraying a setting spray with eyelash extensions should be done if possible with the eyes covered. :) Thank you again for your question!

Hi Linda…this is a great question! If someone is using this Setting Spray…it is NOT meant to saturate your skin…the spray is a fine mist that should only be spritzed 2-4 times, so in respect to strip lash adhesive…it shouldn’t be a problem, but if you are at all worried…the client may just cover their eyes with a tissue gently and spray away!!

I have sent the ingredients of these setting sprays to our Expert Eyelash Extension Stylist and will get back to you with any concerns regards that adhesive.

Thank You so very much for your inquiry!

And what do these sprays do to the lash adhesive? It’s bound to get on the lashes.
