Tips and Tricks
In my years of helping create beautiful curled and lifted lashes, I’ve had my fair share of failures and have learned from them to help myself grow as an artist. Today I’m here to give you all my hard earned tips and tricks so you don’t have to make the mistakes I have!
1. Choose the Right Curl!
This is imperative to choose a curl that matches not only your client’s desired end result, but also their eye shape and lash length. Lean towards a smaller rod for those clients that are looking for a more dramatic and lifted look, as well as clients that have shorter natural lashes. On the other hand, reach for a larger rod if your desired end result is for the lashes to have a soft swooping end result or if your client has naturally long and luscious lashes.
2. Glue - The Right Amount
Up next, application! For this step, be sure to apply enough glue for the lashes adhere to the rod properly and don’t come off mid service. But, be light handed with the amount of adhesive you use, as the more you use, the higher the chance that you create a barrier on the lashes that hinders the other steps for working properly.
3. Keratin Boost for Rod Removal
Lastly, if you’re struggling to remove your clients lashes from the rod at the end of the service, put GladGirl keratin booster to work by applying it to a doe foot applicator and applying to the lashes in a circular motion, it will quickly and easily break the adhesive bond while also nourishing the lashes for a healthy and lifted final result. LashLift is the perfect service to start offering if you don’t already! It takes about 20-35 minutes and if done properly can last up to 4-6 weeks with correct at home care. This service is the perfect add on and GladGirl LashLift Eyelash Perming Kit gives you all the tools you’ll need to get the job done in record time! Give it a try and let us know in the comments below if you’ve ever tried LashLift, and if so what you love about it! Get ready to FALL in love with Lash Perming this winter. Until next time, XOXO J
