With 2017 in the rear-view mirror, I can see that it has been a year of many challenges, personal growth and professional prosperity for me. It has been a great year, a year of changes, adventure and passion.
What about you?Read on for my tips on how you can focus your own vision for the year ahead.
Take Time to Reflect
On the final day of every year, I take the time to reflect. I find this the perfect opportunity to mentally scan and flashback to all of the things I have accomplished and all the lessons I learned. I review the things I can do better next year.
Ask Yourself Important Questions
It’s not that hard. It’s not hocus-pocus, miraculous or supernatural. All it takes is focus, desire and determination to get the result. You have to reinforce your desires by reviewing them and then making a plan to get what you need to reach your goal. Do you need to get more education? Is there a new service you want to add to your business? Do your research and then when you hit on the thing that grabs your attention, that is probably where you should start.
Know What You Want
You see, I believe just about anything is possible with vision. You can make steps on your journey by knowing what you want. Your desire for what you want has to be almost all consuming. Things don’t just fall in your lap. There may be an exception in rare instances but for the most part it takes effort to bring our goals to life.
Make a Vision Board
At the start of each new year I make a vision board. I find photos and phrases that illustrate my goals and attach them to a cork board in my office where I can view them every day. I include all of my goals whether they be financial, professional or personal. The board must be desirable to look at - beautiful, colorful and inspiring. When I look at my vision board I immediately feel calm and at peace. I know that with my determination and experience I will accomplish most of my goals for the year.
The same strategies apply to your personal and financial goals.
