With minimalist feng shui superstar Marie Condo igniting the masses to cultivate joy through de-cluttering, I began pondering what the word Drala meant – Marie asks her followers if they are applying the Drala principle when going through their living spaces. I wondered more about the word and started an investigation to learn more. Here’s what I learned about what Drala means:
“A word derived from Tibetan folk, meaning the way nature speaks to us.”
“The experimental presence of the world that is available to us through sense perceptions."
The word Drala was brought into my awareness by my teacher John Wineland. John specifically taught me how to curate environments to evoke one’s deepest desires using Drala. In both the personal and professional arenas we have a lot more power to evoke a positive outcome for others and ourselves – let's get inspired!
How to Use the Drala Principle
Here are some questions to help you set the stage for love using this art form:
Where can you create love in the room where you sleep?
Do you need to take work and books out and bring flowers and candles in your room?
Do you feel pleasure from the textures of the linens you choose at work and at home?
Do you feel relaxed, beautiful, and empowered through all 5 senses when in the rooms that you spend the most time in?
How do you adorn your body? (clothes, makeup, etc.)
I would love to hear your answers in the comments below. Don't worry about changing everything at once – try to live the question and have fun! Beautifying with makeup and adornments is my favorite form of Drala art so I'm delighted to report that when it comes to smoldering Valentine’s day looks, Glad Lash wrapped up a few gifts for the lash lovers.
