Have a big day, or night, on the horizon? Prepping for a party is a wonderful excuse to luxuriate with a spa day. But first, you need plenty of sleep the night before and an invigorating session at the gym the morning of. Exercise clears your mind, helps you feel your best and imparts a radiant glow to your skin. From there it’s all about pampering your skin so that you shine like the beautiful goddess you are!
Brighten Your Eyes
To boost the benefit of your eye cream, refrigerate it the night or a couple of hours before use. Go the extra mile with some homemade eye brighteners. Slice 6-8 rounds of chilled cucumber. Apply to your closed eyelids and keep on for 3 minutes, swiping them out for two fresh slices at the 2-3-minute mark. Cucumbers contain vitamin C and caffeic acid, which help alleviate puffy eyes by reducing water retention and moisturizing the thin skin under the eyes.
All out of cucumbers? Cold tea bags will do the trick too. Steep green or black tea in hot water for 5 minutes. Let cool, and then chill in the fridge. Apply to closed eyelids for 5 minutes to increase circulation to the eye area and tighten skin. Thank goodness for the skin-saving benefits of caffeine!
