Hello Lash Lovers! Oscar week is here & for our Get the Look, we thought we would give a special nod to Oscar. We sought out one of our favorite make-up artists, Heather Coopersmith to share how to get a look worthy of Oscar. In this post, Heather offers tips on how, if given the chance, she would achieve the fabulous look of stunner, Lupita Nyong'o. Read on:
Here her makeup is a reflection of her inner beauty.
To start, prep the skin. I would use ILLAMASQUA Satin Primer on the cheeks, forehead and chin areas and on the bridge of her nose. This product first allows the dewy satin finish to really come through.
For flawless foundation, I recommend MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 185.
Lupita is such a natural beauty that I would keep her eyes bright and sexy. The Nars eyeshadow trio in Arabian Nights is perfect for adding a richness in color and the sparkle effect will reflect the light beautifully.
A bright eyeliner color, such as Amethyst from Lancome, on the top eyelash line only with a slight winged effect at the outer corners of the lash line will frame her eyes with impact.
On to mascara...always curl those lashes 1st! Then I like adding 2 coats of Benefits They're Real Mascara in Black.
LASHES...now for an Oscar worthy look, we want to have a little red carpet fun so we added a strip of Siberian Mink Lashes along with a couple Swarovksi Crystal Lashes single strand in Silver on the outer corners to just add a flirty and sexy sparkle.
For glowing cheeks, a cream blush by Bobbi Brown called Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Raspberry can be used to accent the apples of her cheeks with a contour shade a bit darker along her cheek bones.
Because the focal point to Lupita's look are the eyes, lip color should remain a bit subdued but still complimentary. For this effect, Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb! Moisture Plumping Lip Tint in “Bigger Berry,” is perfect.
Powder...to finish off the "Get the Look" with Lupita...I would dust the face with just a touch of setting powder from Makeup Forever in Dark along her forehead, cheeks, temples, mouth and chin.
Lupita Nyong'o is as stunning as ever & now with Heather's hints, you too can be red carpet ready!

A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
