Waterproof Makeup for Summer

Summer is almost here starting on June 21st so we have 10 days to get our waterproof beauty in order. Let's see what fun and useful products we have that are waterproof and may carry an SPF for those harsh summer rays, and look out for my helpful hint about an all in one palette that can bring the SUMMER to you!

SPF 50 Setting Mist

Firstly, we have a product by Supergoop that can act as a sunscreen barrier under makeup and can also be re-applied later when you are in need of another application. It's called Defense Refresh Setting Mist with a broad spectrum of 50! It comes in a spray bottle so it can be applied after shaking. This is a great way to use a sunscreen especially if you are planning on putting on makeup. This allows you to continually protect your skin throughout the day without worrying about smearing or creating a hot mess on your face. It should be reapplied about every 40 minutes or so.
Defense - Refresh Setting Mist ...A refreshing setting mist that lets you reapply SPF over your makeup without making a mess.

BB Cream

Makeup wise, I suggest a tinted BB (Beauty Balm) cream - NYX Cosmetics BB Cream, $12.99. It's hydrating, has coverage and is lightweight. It only comes in three shades but you can also mix with a foundation if you would like. During the summer, less is more in my opinion. You want to be able to see your skin, to let the skin breathe. And you don't want to keep on layering products with sunscreen after sunscreen because it does nothing for you because it has to be reapplied after about 40 minutes anyway.

Liquid Liner & Eyeshadow Palette

GladGirl® has amazing liquid eyeliner pens that allow you to make a bold eye statement or give a cat eye life! They have four different luxurious color options including blue, so you can blend in well with the ocean of course! The best part is is that if you have lash extensions, these are the way to go! If you have a steady hand and want to use these for your eyebrows as well, you can do that! You just have to play with the application and see how to work with the product. This type of process may not be for you but it's doable.
GladGirl Liquid Liner For a precisely defined line, use the fast-drying, water and smudge-proof liquid eyeliner by GladGirl®
Another fun product fromGladGirl® is the Eyeshadow Palette that can be used as eyeshadows, eyebrow color and cheek/highlight color. A multi-useful palette and great colors for summer. You can get a hint of bronzed definition on your face from the deeper hues and a killer highlight from the iridescent color. In essence, its like the sun has come and kissed your face! Just like the Supergoop spray, make these products work for you and think outside the box in respect to what they can be used for. If you don't have lash extensions already, this summer may be the time to do it. Then you won't have to worry about needing or remembering to apply waterproof mascara or worrying about getting raccoon eyes if you go under!

But please always remember, I advise to not use waterproof mascara with extensions as they do not mix and will pull out the extensions and no one wants that. Safety first! If you want an all in one product that gives your lips, cheeks and eyes some color and is waterproof, take a cream blush or a tinted lip balm and use it to press into your lips, cheeks and a little bit of color on your eyelids. Once again, use this product for more than one thing to accomplish an easy waterproof summer look! I hope this was helpful in using some of what you already have as you head into Summer! Summer Lovin' for your face :-)
