South Korean influence on beauty has been at the epicenter of many current beauty trends. Animated packaging that speaks to the kid in all of us to over the top skincare regimes, South Korea is proving to be a GAME player. One trend I would like to focus on is the, cushion compact, that seems to have taken the industry by storm. Just take a look at leading company, AmorePacific in Korea “Amore Pacifichas 19 Cushion products from its 13 brands in more than ten countries in Asian and North American markets".
Think of this makeup as a “BB” (beauty balm or blemish balm) cream in a compact form. This presentation integrates skin care and makeup working as both a cover-up and overall enhancement for the general health and appearance of your skin. Who wouldn't want this?!? The sponge is soaked in the formula so the application process is easier when you dip it onto the cushion. This process allows the formula to provide a lighter, less opaque look. No cakey-fakey mess! Most sponges are made from anti-bacterial and antimicrobial material but you can always opt to wash them yourself with a mild soap and warm water. The air tight packaging keeps the product bacteria free.
The essence of this is natural beauty is already an ongoing, global beauty conversation. This product is great if you have clear skin and prefer a lighter feel to a foundation in general. Lancome, Stila, Loreal and Physicians Formula are some of the makeup lines that have hopped on the cushion train. South Korean beauty is unstoppable and on the cutting edge. Can't wait to see what's next!
Stay tuned because next up, I want to talk about the MALE makeup trend. Is he or isn't he?!

A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
