We are five months into the new year and already we have so much to talk about in regards to trends! Let's take a look at, and share, some of the most shocking beauty trends of 2018.
1. Heat Activated Hair Color
You have seen color changing or mood changing nails but have you seen it with hair? Pravana created a hair dye called Vivids Mood Color, which changes color when heat is applied and goes back to the original color when it cools down. Use a straightener, a hair dryer or just your hand to change the color. This trend has taken the Internet by storm and the best part is, you can wash it out because it's temporary! Crazy cool :)
2. Glitter Undercuts
And since we are speaking about hair, lets talk about glitter undercuts and mermaid hair! So an undercut is when you have a hairstyle, then you flip your hair up and boom! There is a surprise story going on underneath! A glitter undercut is a design shaved into the head which is bedazzled with glitter. It's a really cool look if you are going to a festival or party. Even if you don't glitter it up, it's still a great peek a boo moment!
3. Mermaid Hair
Now, mermaid hair is also very unique. You can achieve this look by using vibrant colors, muted hues, oceanic colors or just about any color theme you desire. This usually happens over the whole head and not just a portion of it, as long as it's with multiple pastel and/or ocean like colors beautifully blended in. This trend may not be so new, but it is definitely made a splash this year!
4. Mermaid Lashes
Lastly, let's talk mermaid lash extensions. As I write this post, I am now even wearing gel nail polish in mermaid, I dare say! But, folks, if mermaid hair and mermaid nails just aren't enough, mermaid lashes are on the horizon. Lucky YOU! These lash extensions have the same color philosophy as the mermaid hair mentioned above. Choose the ombre color scheme and have your eyes stand out. Your lash artist will love the opportunity to get creative with this look. Ladies and gentlemen, I think mermaid themed beauty is here to stay for a while! Make a statement with your mermaid style. :) What trends have you seen that have caught your eye?

A smooth, flawless wax can leave your skin looking and feeling incredible, but proper aftercare is essential to maintain those results and keep your skin healthy. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and needs extra attention to avoid irritation, redness, or ingrown hairs.
